Train Carrying Ammunition for Ukraine Robbed in Poland
A train carrying ammunition destined for Ukraine has been robbed in Poland. According to Gazeta Wyborcza, the thieves mistakenly stole ammunition meant for a train heading to Ukraine.
It is noted that a special train loaded with munitions from Germany was en route to Ukraine, escorted by US military personnel. The railway security service noticed damaged seals on two carriages.
Details about what exactly was taken by the robbers vary. Some reports indicate that 120 rounds of 25 mm caliber ammunition were involved, while another source mentions grenade launchers or other ammunition types.
The robbery occurred during a stop of the train in Wengliniec. Realizing the value of the stolen crates, the robbers disposed of the cargo. According to police reports, the ammunition was subsequently discovered in a lagoon in the town of Stary Wengliniec.
