Place Names of the Republic of Armenia Have Been Distorted, Says Iran Expert
There can be no doubt that the barbaric regime in Baku pays serious attention to the "issue" of place names in its hybrid war against Armenia. This was stated by Iran expert Vardan Voskanyan on his Telegram channel.
“This ‘toponymic war’ aims to undermine the historical and political legitimacy of our state and nation to exercise sovereign control over our homeland’s entire territory, thereby opening the door for the barbaric expansionism against Armenia under the guise of a completely unknown and fabricated ‘Western Azerbaijan’,” he noted.
One of the most glaring examples is depicted in the attached illustrative image, which is a reference from one of the resources of Baku's propaganda machine, reacting to one of my latest posts on Facebook.
In it, the content of that post has been distorted undeniably, including that the Yeraskh area has become some barbaric 'Arazdayan', and Zangakatun has turned into some 'Chanakhchi', and so forth.
This clearly proves that the barbaric regime in Baku has given direct instructions for all units of its propaganda machine to act systematically in the anti-Armenian 'toponymic war’, thus it is time to set aside illusions once again and deliver unprecedented blows to the enemy in this domain as well,” Voskanyan emphasized.
