"I Am Shocked": Charles Michel on Attack on Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant
The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, has responded to the attack on the Kakhovskaya Hydroelectric Power Plant dam.
“I am shocked by the unprecedented attack on the ‘Nova Kakhovka’ dam. The destruction of civilian infrastructure is clearly categorized as a war crime, and we will hold Russia and its proxies accountable,” wrote the President of the European Council on his Twitter microblog.
It is recalled that today, on June 6, the dam of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant located in the Kherson region collapsed. The water from the destroyed hydroelectric plant has flooded residential areas in the Kherson region. Due to the damage to the hydroelectric plant, the level of the Dnieper River has risen. Footage reportedly taken in the Ostriv district of Kherson shows ducks swimming along the streets.
