VIDEO: Why Was the Map of Historical Armenia Removed? Yerevan Metro Explains

The map of Historical Armenia was removed from the arch of Yerevan Metro's "Republic Square" station due to wear and fading, explains the Yerevan Metro officials.

In response to public outcry regarding the removal of the Historical Armenia map from the "Republic Square" station, the metro stated that the map is now displayed with better quality on the installed LED screen. Additionally, it was clarified that the map was taken down from the arch on May 29 this year because of wear and fading.

Metro spokesperson Tatev Khachatryan emphasized that the installation works for the LED screen took two days, after which, on June 1, the map was already fully displayed on the LED screen at the station.

Earlier, there had been discussions on the internet regarding the replacement of the map with an advertising panel in the metro station.
