The US is by Your Side on This Path: US Ambassador to Armenia

I want to express my commendation to the Armenian people for their unwavering commitment to democracy, despite the security challenges they face, said US Ambassador to Armenia Kristina Quinn during the "Armenian Democracy Forum."

"In this way, Armenia becomes a bright spot in the region, as noted in the "Transitional Countries" report published by Freedom House last week. The US is by your side on this path towards a more open, accountable, prosperous, and secure future," the ambassador stated.

She expressed immense pride in the work that the United States is undertaking with Armenian society to strengthen democracy and protect human rights in Armenia. "We are taking steps to eliminate discrimination and promote a society where diversity and the rights of all members are respected, regardless of their status or position.

The US supports your efforts to fight against corruption, strengthen the rule of law, which will enhance public trust in democratic processes. We are working together to promote press freedom and ensure free flow of information and freedom of speech. We are also building more resilient foundations for democracy by fostering civic education and encouraging more active involvement from Armenia's robust civil society.

Together, we can overcome challenges and shape a future where freedom, justice, and democracy prevail," the US ambassador noted.
