Major Accident in Yerevan: Casualties Reported

On May 31, at 00:52, the National Crisis Management Center received a report about a road traffic accident near the intersection of Freedom Avenue and Babayan Street in Yerevan, requesting the assistance of rescue teams.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that a firefighting and rescue unit from the Yerevan Rescue Department was dispatched to the scene.

It was found that a Toyota vehicle (driver: N. H., born in 1993) collided with a parked Volkswagen vehicle (driver: H. H., born in 1998).

The rescuers disconnected the power of the vehicles and extricated passenger R. P. (born in 1984) from the Volkswagen, bringing him closer to an ambulance.

Both H. H. and R. P. were hospitalized at Heratsi Medical Center No. 1, where their health condition was assessed as moderate severity.
