Body of Young Woman Found on Roof in Yerevan; Her 1-Year-Old Child Dies in Hospital

Today, on June 1st, a mysterious and tragic incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 12:00 PM, the Malatia division of the Armenian Police received a report of a woman’s body found on the roof of a building on Svachyan Street, along with an injured child, as reported by Shamshyan.com.

Police and investigators determined that a nearly 1-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. The body of a young woman was found at the scene.

It remains unclear whether this was a suicide or an unfortunate accident. Several citizens gathered at the scene, who declined to speak on camera, indicated that the deceased and the injured were mother and son. A criminal case has been initiated in the Malatia investigation department based on the incident. The investigator has ordered a forensic examination of the body.

While the investigative team was working at the scene, the Yerevan “Holy Mother of God” Medical Center reported to the Malatia police that the child had died without regaining consciousness.
