Photos: Two Years of 'Reconstruction' Resulting in a Pothole-Riddled Highway, Abrahamyan
The Kapan-Aghvani-Tatev road has undergone continuous 'reconstruction' for two years, and every time it is supposedly completed, the situation remains deplorable. This was reported by Tigran Abrahamyan, the secretary of the 'I Have Honor' faction in the Armenian National Assembly, on his Facebook page. He also published photos from various sections of the Kapan-Aghvani-Tatev road, which either are not filled with potholes or are partially collapsed.
“Significant amounts of money are spent on this road, which forms the backbone of Syunik, yet the result is a destroyed highway full of potholes. The situation is also poor on the Sisian-Tatev section, which is an important part of the overall road,” wrote Abrahamyan.
It is worth recalling that the Goris-Kapan interstate road was replaced by the Kapan-Aghvani-Tatev alternative route after the 44-day war.
