Unprecedented Economic Growth in Armenia, Says Pashinyan
The unprecedented economic growth in Armenia has occurred due to the reduction of the shadow economy and the reforms implemented by the government. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during the discussion of the budget performance for 2022 in parliament.
"We have started to reduce the income tax and this reduction continues. In 2021, we collected 512 billion drams. We are lowering taxes, yet the revenue from income tax is increasing.
One such example is the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine, of which 21.8% belongs to the government. In 2021, the combine paid the highest tax in its history, more than the total taxes paid from 2012 onwards," he said.
