Envelope with White Powder Delivered to German Vice Chancellor's Office
An envelope containing white powder was delivered to the office of Germany's Vice Chancellor and Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, Robert Habeck (The Greens), located in Flensburg. This information was reported by TASS.
The envelope was received on the evening of May 24. Office staff took it to the police department, where law enforcement officials called in firefighters. Due to the unknown nature of the substance, employees were evacuated from the building, and the surrounding area was cordoned off. Firefighters subsequently removed the envelope, taking all necessary precautions.
It is noted that the powder is currently being examined for the presence of hazardous chemicals or radioactive materials.
According to police, as of now, no health issues have arisen for individuals who came into contact with the envelope. It is not ruled out that the powder may be ordinary sand. The results of the investigation are not yet available.
