The Conflict in Ukraine Should Not Be Frozen: Peskov
Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, has stated that Russia is committed to the position that the conflict in Ukraine should not be frozen. TASS reports this news.
“Russia is in solidarity,” he said in response to a question about whether Russia aligns with the West's stance that the Ukrainian conflict should not be allowed to freeze.
According to Peskov, Russia is only considering the possibility of concluding its special military operation by safeguarding its own interests and achieving the objectives set before Russia.
Earlier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stated that peace negotiations regarding the situation in Ukraine should not aim to freeze the conflict. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba has also announced the unacceptability of freezing the Ukrainian conflict.
It is noted that Russia's armed forces continue their special operation in Ukraine.
