Wardrobe Falls on 5-Year-Old Girl in Shirak: Doctors Fight for Her Life
On May 20, the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs received an alert from the "Gyumri Mother and Child Austrian" hospital, reporting that a child had been admitted with a diagnosis of "closed head injury, linear fracture of the parietal bone without displacement."
According to Shamshyan.com, an operational group from the Artik division of the police, led by division chief Harutyun Adamyan and deputy chief Matilyan, promptly arrived at the hospital.
Authorities disclosed that the child is a 5-year-old girl who was transferred to the hospital from one of the villages in the Shirak region. It was also revealed that a day prior, the girl was at home when a wardrobe fell on her, causing the injury.
Material on the incident has been prepared by the Artik division of the police and transferred to the Shirak regional investigation department of the Armenian Investigative Committee.
