Former US Secretary of State Believes Crimea Will Remain Under Russian Control

Former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger believes that the Russia-Ukraine war will end roughly at the borders that existed before February 24, 2022, with Crimea remaining under the control of the Russian Federation.

According to him, Ukraine should be included in NATO, as it is becoming the best armed yet least experienced leadership country in Europe. He stated this in an interview with The Economist.

Kissinger suggested that if military operations conclude unfavorably for Moscow, the world will witness a "dissatisfied Russia, and also a dissatisfied Ukraine."

“Therefore, for the sake of European security, it is better for Ukraine to be in NATO, where it cannot make national-level decisions regarding territorial claims,” he said.
