Threat of New Escalation Between Azerbaijan and Armenia Grows: Turkish Defense Minister
The threat of a new military escalation between Azerbaijan and Armenia is increasing, as more time is required for the development of a peace agreement. This was stated by Turkey's National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar in an article titled "The Caucasus region: A unique opportunity for peace and reconciliation," published by TRT World on Twitter.
“Periodic clashes and tensions along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, as well as the lack of success in recent attempts to reach a peaceful agreement, are causes for concern. The situation is fragile, and the hope we had for a prompt peace treaty is gradually fading,” Akar noted.
