Erdogan's Rival Urges Citizens to Stay Home if He Wins

The presidential candidate from Turkey's opposition alliance, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, has called on citizens to stay home if he wins the elections. This was reported by Bloomberg.
Kılıçdaroğlu believes that on the night following the elections, his supporters may confront "armed elements" loyal to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's government.
"After our victory, all citizens should remain at home and not celebrate in the streets. Someone might provoke unrest, and armed elements could take to the streets," he stated.
It is noteworthy that Kılıçdaroğlu is considered the main rival to the current president, Erdoğan. He had previously announced that if victorious, he would emphasize Turkey's NATO membership and seek to establish "equitable relations with Russia in discussions."
