Chess Players from Different Countries to Spend 10 Days in Jermuk
10 chess players from 8 countries around the world will be in the city of Jermuk from May 2 to 12. They will participate in the international round-robin tournament named "Stepan Avagyan Memorial Tournament. Jermuk 2023." This information was reported by the Armenian Chess Federation.
It is noted that the tournament will be held in a round-robin format with 9 rounds of play.
Representing Armenia will be chess players Haik Martirosyan, Robert Hovhannisyan, and Arthur Davtyan. Other participants include Samuel Sevian from the USA, Andrey Esipenko from Russia, Amin Tabatabai from Iran, Tay Dai Van Nguyen from the Czech Republic, S. L. Narayanan from India, Nodirbek Yakubov from Uzbekistan, and Frederik Svane from Germany.
The prize fund amounts to 4,000,000 AMD.
