Gor Azizyan Reaches Final, 3 Athletes Win Bronze at European Boxing Championship
Armenian representative Gor Azizyan (57 kg) has advanced to the finals of the European Youth Boxing Championship taking place in Yerevan. In the semifinals, he defeated Magomed Pashtaev from Russia.
Three other Armenian athletes have won bronze medals after losing in their respective semifinals. David Safaryan in the 51 kg category withdrew from the semifinal match due to an arm injury, granting a technical victory to his opponent, German Francis Okai. Eric Arustamyan lost to Georgia's Gor Aivazyan, while Hovhannes Harutyunyan was defeated by Italian Tonasoy.
It is noteworthy that the European Youth Boxing Championship kicked off in Yerevan on April 25 and will continue until May 3, with over 500 athletes from more than 30 countries participating.
