SOCAR Begins Transit of Kazakh Oil via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Pipeline
The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has commenced the transit of Kazakh oil through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, media reports indicate, citing SOCAR's subsidiary SOCAR Midstream Operations LLC.
It is noted that the first batch of Kazakh oil extracted from the Tengiz field was delivered to Azerbaijan's Sangachal terminal in tankers named after President Heydar Aliyev on March 23. The 'Shusha' tankers, which will transport the next batch of Kazakh oil, are scheduled to depart from the Aktau port on March 27.
