China and Russia Play a Key Role in International Affairs: Xi Jinping
In today’s restless world, China is determined to preserve the UN-centered international system with Russia and protect a world order based on international law. This statement was made by Chinese leader Xi Jinping upon his arrival in Moscow.
“In a world far from peace, China is ready to resolutely defend the UN-centered international system with Russia, protect a world order based on international law and the fundamental norms of international relations, which in turn are based on the goals and principles of the UN Charter. We are committed to true multilateralism, promoting multipolarity in the world, and democratizing international relations. We aim to contribute to the development of global governance in a more just and rational direction,” said Xi.
According to him, China and Russia, as major powers and permanent members of the UN Security Council, play a significant role in international affairs. Beijing and Moscow are good neighbors and reliable partners, Xi Jinping stated.
“I am very glad to return to our close neighboring country on a state visit at the invitation of President Vladimir Putin. On behalf of the Chinese government and people, I extend sincere greetings and best wishes to the government and the people. China and Russia are good neighbors and reliable partners, connected by mountains and rivers,” he added.
