Zelensky Imposes Sanctions on Syrian President
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has imposed individual sanctions against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. This was stated in a decree published on the Ukrainian leader's website on March 18.
The sanctions are set for a duration of 10 years and include asset freezes, a ban on the withdrawal of capital from Ukraine, a suspension of the fulfillment of economic and financial obligations, as well as a prohibition on the transfer of rights and technologies related to intellectual property objects.
Additionally, sanctions have also been imposed on other officials from Syria.
It is worth noting that the Syrian president made several pro-Russian statements during a meeting with the Russian president.
