Turkey Responds to European Parliament Report on Armenian Genocide
Turkey’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tanju Bilgic has commented on the European Parliament's report titled 'EU-Armenia Relations' dated March 15, 2023, concerning the claims regarding the Armenian Genocide of 1915.
Ambassador Bilgic, in his written response to the European Parliament report, stated: 'It is clear that the European Parliament, in its usual report on 'EU-Armenia Relations' dated March 15, 2023, makes unfounded attributions regarding our country related to the events of 1915.'
'These views, which are incompatible with historical facts and international law, hold no power for us. We call upon the European Parliament to act in accordance with political morality and international law and to refrain from repeating such one-sided and unfounded statements.'
