Russia Does Not Recognize Decision to Arrest Putin: Peskov
The issue of the "arrest" of Russian President Vladimir Putin raised by the International Criminal Court (ICC) is unacceptable. Russia does not recognize the court's jurisdiction, and any of its decisions are meaningless from a legal standpoint. This was announced to reporters by the press secretary of the Russian leader, Dmitry Peskov, as reported by RIA Novosti.
"We consider the formulation of this issue to be outrageous and unacceptable. Russia, like a number of other states, does not recognize the jurisdiction of this court and, accordingly, such decisions are legally insignificant for the Russian Federation," said Peskov.
