Peskov on Nomination of Erdogan for the Nobel Peace Prize
The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, has stated that the Kremlin highly values the peacekeeping efforts of Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan. This comment came in response to the former Turkmen leader Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov's assertion that he supports Erdogan's nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize.
According to kommersant.ru, Peskov stated during a press conference, “We appreciate Mr. Erdogan's efforts, his peacekeeping activities, his attempts to provide mediation services, as well as his attitude toward the development of Russian-Turkish relations.”
Recep Tayyip Erdogan was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in December 2022.
