What Position Will Vahan Hunanian Hold? "Haykakan Jamanak"
The former spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Vahan Hunanian, is set to be appointed as the Ambassador of Armenia to Poland, according to the newspaper "Haykakan Jamanak".
"Currently, this position is held by Samvel Mkrtchyan, but his term of office, which is four years, has long expired. According to the law, if a diplomat is not relieved of their position, they continue to serve," the paper reports.
The media outlet has failed to contact Vahan Hunanian to confirm this information.
The newly appointed spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ani Badalyan, neither confirmed nor denied the information when asked by the media.
"At this moment, Vahan Hunanian continues his diplomatic service within the central apparatus of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs," she stated.
On March 13, Vahan Hunanian had resigned from the position of spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at his own request. He announced that Ani Badalyan would replace him, and he would continue his diplomatic service within the Ministry's framework.
