We Lost the 44-Day War Because the 5th Column Operated in the Army: Nikol Pashinyan

Pashinyan stated in a conversation with journalists today that Armenia acquired more military equipment from 2018 to 2020 than in the entire previous decade.

According to Pashinyan, “We lost the 44-day war because the 5th column operated in the army. This is my conviction based on the analysis of several facts. I believe that soon those facts will become so public that my statement will not seem strange at all,” he added.

Nikol Pashinyan mentioned that over 50 servicemen are accused of state treason. “I don’t know if there is anyone in Armenia who thinks that these people have been framed. Today, we have high-ranking military personnel in custody on other charges. Now there are high-ranking military personnel in custody accused of handing over land, and there is a high-ranking military officer accused in the Shushi case. When the court decided to detain him, something surprising happened to me: various people started submitting requests to release him from detention. People, didn’t you say that we should reveal how Shushi fell?” he emphasized.

The Prime Minister noted that Serge Sarkisian’s statements do not bring honor to the former leader of Armenia.
