"Lift the Blockade!" Former NATO Secretary General to Aliyev
The blockade of the Lachin corridor is neither humane nor legal, stated former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen during a conversation with journalists.
According to him, a humanitarian disaster threatens Artsakh. “We are facing a humanitarian crisis that could turn into a humanitarian catastrophe. This blockade is illegal. A few weeks ago, the International Court of Justice made a ruling demanding that Azerbaijan ensure unhindered movement through the Lachin corridor. The ruling is mandatory, which means that Azerbaijan is obliged to open the corridor for free movement,” emphasized the former NATO Secretary General.
Anders Fogh Rasmussen sent a message to the President of Azerbaijan. “Today, I send a clear message to the President of Azerbaijan, Aliyev, and I say - lift the blockade today, immediately,” he said.
Recall that today former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen visited the starting point of the Lachin corridor.
