Deputy Director of Medline Clinic Arrested in Money Laundering Case
The deputy director of Medline Clinic has been arrested. This information has been confirmed by the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia.
Earlier, eight employees of Medline Clinic were detained as part of the initiated public criminal prosecution process and were released yesterday, on March 13. Yerevan's Deputy Mayor Gevorg Simonian was arrested on March 12 and has been charged under the second part of Article 308 of the Armenian Criminal Code (abuse of office).
It is worth noting that the director of the same clinic, Babken Shahumyan, had been arrested earlier.
