Azerbaijani Video Shows Not Military Vehicles but Emergency Situations Service Cars, Artsakh Ministry of Internal Affairs
Azerbaijani media disseminated yet another piece of misinformation on March 13, claiming that Armenian soldiers and weapons were transferred to Artsakh under the escort of Russian peacekeepers, supported by a video showing a small convoy of vehicles. This was reported by the Artsakh Information Headquarters.
In reality, the footage released by the Azerbaijani side depicts vehicles belonging not to the military but to the State Emergency Service. Employees of the Emergency Service, accompanied by Russian peacekeepers, escorted civilians from Artsakh to the village of Hin Shen in the Shushi region.
Considering the mountainous and extremely difficult terrain of that route, the Artsakh rescuers had to organize the transportation of civilians using UAZ vehicles. The Russian peacekeepers carried out their functions to ensure the safety of civilians, especially in light of the additional threats following the diversionary attack on March 5.
