Aliyev Again Accuses Armenia
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, during his visit to Berlin, has accused Armenia of "hampering the establishment of the Zangezur corridor."
According to APA, during a meeting in Berlin with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Aliyev addressed the issue of the Zangezur corridor.
"It was emphasized that Armenia, by avoiding the fulfillment of its obligations set forth in the trilateral statement, is obstructing the implementation of the Zangezur corridor," media outlets quote him as saying.
This is not the first time Aliyev has distorted facts and the contents of agreements, but it is the first time he has done so so brazenly. Aliyev lies when speaking about Armenia's obligations regarding the opening of the 'Zangezur corridor'; no document prescribes the opening of a 'corridor' through Armenian territory. The only thing Armenia is 'supposed' to do is to open communications, just as Azerbaijan is obliged to do.
