Georgia's Military Road Closed for Heavy Vehicles Due to Bad Weather Conditions

Due to adverse weather conditions in Georgia, the movement of heavy cargo vehicles has been temporarily restricted along the military highway section of North Ossetia, the press service of the Ministry of Emergencies reported on Thursday.

"Due to the deterioration of weather conditions in Georgia (...) from 01:10 Moscow time on March 2, 2023 (Note: 00:10 Yerevan time), the movement of heavy vehicles is prohibited on the Vladikavkaz-Lars section towards exit from the Russian Federation until further notice," the message states.

The military highway is currently the only land route connecting Georgia with Russia.
