European Countries Should Not Utilize Azerbaijani Resources and Then Turn a Blind Eye to Its Actions: Maria Karapetyan

European countries should not utilize Azerbaijani energy resources and then turn a blind eye to Baku's actions in the region. This statement was made by Maria Karapetyan, a member of the National Assembly delegation and a deputy from the 'Civil Contract' faction, at the Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE.

According to her, the international community can contribute to our region, particularly in ensuring security, peace, and democracy between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

“First of all, energy resources and economic potential should not be exploited by European countries; secondly, the international community must remain steadfast in its position that long-term peace in the region can only occur with the protection of the rights and security of the residents of Nagorno-Karabakh,” said the deputy.

Only then will Armenia be able to avoid the destructive processes that Azerbaijan aims to engage in with the support of third countries. Karapetyan added that Armenia is interested in establishing friendly and partnership relations with its neighboring countries. For this, the neighbors must also adhere to democratic values.
