A Female Driver Hits 2 Children: Details
As previously reported, this morning around 08:30, a 41-year-old resident of Yerevan, Armine G., driving a Dodge vehicle, hit two children at a pedestrian crossing on Nver Safaryan Street in the Avan administrative district.
The children were transported to the Muratsan Medical Center. According to the press service of the Muratsan University Hospital, A. Ayvazyan, born in 2009, and K. Ayvazyan, born in 2008, were brought to the hospital today.
A. Ayvazyan suffered from a fracture of the left knee joint and sprains of the ligaments, while K. Ayvazyan was diagnosed with a fracture of the right ankle joint and sprains. The doctors assessed the boys' condition as satisfactory, provided recommendations, and sent them home for further outpatient monitoring,” reported the Muratsan University Hospital.
We were contacted by a relative of the driver of the Dodge vehicle, who stated that the information about the accident occurring at a pedestrian crossing is not accurate. According to the citizen, the children attempted to cross the road in an unauthorized area.
