Artsakh People Simply Cannot Live Under Azerbaijani Control, Araik Harutyunyan
This decision is yet another undeniable international legal basis that the people of Artsakh, who are subjected to racial discrimination and hatred, simply cannot live under Azerbaijani control. This was stated by the President of the Republic of Artsakh, Araik Harutyunyan, on his Facebook page.
“The International Court of Justice of the United Nations has just approved Armenia's request and obligated Azerbaijan not to hinder the free movement of goods, people, and transport in both directions through the ‘Lachin Corridor’. In another ruling, it dismissed Azerbaijan's unfounded demand regarding mines.
On behalf of the authorities and the people of Artsakh, I would like to express my special gratitude to the Armenian representative on international legal matters, Yeghishe Kirakosyan, and all those involved from the Armenian side in this procedure for their essential mission.
This decision serves as another undeniable international legal basis that the people of Artsakh, who are subjected to racial discrimination and hatred, simply cannot live under Azerbaijani control. I consider this a significant milestone in our international struggle, and together with the Republic of Armenia, we will continue to utilize all international legal mechanisms possible to protect the rights of the people of Artsakh. The state bodies of Artsakh have my clear instruction to support these efforts as much as possible,” he wrote.
