Pashinyan and Putin Discuss the Consequences of the Illegal Blockade of the Lachin Corridor
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has had a phone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin. This was reported by the Prime Minister's Office.
According to the statement, the interlocutors addressed the humanitarian, environmental, and energy crisis created in Nagorno-Karabakh as a result of Azerbaijan's illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor. The Prime Minister emphasized the need for necessary actions by Russia to overcome this crisis.
At the same time, the Prime Minister highlighted the fact of the International Court of Justice's decision regarding the unblocking of the Lachin corridor by Azerbaijan.
Issues related to the implementation of the trilateral agreements signed by the leaders of Armenia, Russia, and Azerbaijan on November 9, 2020, January 11, 2021, November 26, 2021, and October 31, 2022, were also discussed. Exchange of views took place regarding the process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
