Mayor Visits Wounded at Midnight: Who Are the Stabbed Employees?
An emergency incident occurred in Yerevan on February 1. Around 21:45, the "Saint Gregory the Illuminator" medical center alerted the New Nork police division of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs that a citizen had been admitted with a "stab wound in the left abdomen".
According to shamshyan.com, the police have identified the victim as 33-year-old Andranik H., a resident of Yerevan. While the police were investigating the circumstances of the incident, another alert was received from the medical center stating that a citizen had been admitted with a "stab wound in the neck".
Police determined that the second victim was 58-year-old Arayik M., also a resident of Yerevan. It turns out that around 21:00, during an argument near 2/8 Tashkent Street, 40-year-old Vardan D., who is registered with the RA Ministry of Justice's Penitentiary Service at the "Nubarashen" penitentiary, inflicted bodily harm on the individuals with a knife before fleeing the scene.
Both victims are employed by the Yerevan Municipality's "Yerevan Garbage Collection and Sanitary Cleaning" community organization. Last night, at midnight, Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan visited the wounded.
Earlier, it was reported that two employees conducting cleaning operations were stabbed in Yerevan during the night.
