EU Will Not Impose Sanctions Against Azerbaijan, Josep Borrell
Josep Borrell, the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, has responded to a question from Belgian Member of Parliament Assita Kanko regarding the unblockage of the Lachin corridor, stating that the EU is currently not considering sanctions against Azerbaijan.
“Sanctions against Azerbaijan are just one of the tools of the EU to promote its overall foreign and security policy, and in this case, they are not being considered. The EU's efforts with Armenia and Azerbaijan are focused on reaching solutions through dialogue, and the leaders of both countries have expressed their commitment to this issue,” he said.
