Bear Takes 400 Selfies and Becomes Internet Star

A black bear has struck various poses in front of a camera, according to international news reports, which cite photos provided by the City Of Boulder Open Space And Mountain Parks.

The camera was set up in the mountainous parks near Boulder, Colorado. Researchers examined the data recorded by the device and were astonished to find that during its operation, the camera captured 580 frames, 400 of which featured the same bear. This particular bear is known as Ursus americanus, or the black bear, also referred to as Baribal, as reported by The Guardian.

Based on the released images, the bear seems to have done a great job during the photoshoot. In one of the photos, the bear sticks its tongue out, while in another, it turns its face three-quarters, emulating real models. The animal's portfolio also includes a profile picture, which has turned out especially well. It seems that the selfie enthusiast has found its best angle.

“These photos made us laugh, and we thought they would make others laugh too,” said Philip Yates, spokesperson for the Open Space and Mountain Parks Department. He was right. Many people on the internet began sharing these amusing bear pictures.
