Netanyahu Promises to Respond Strongly to Attacks in Jerusalem
The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, has promised a strong, swift, and clear response should there be attacks in Jerusalem. His remarks were reported by the Times of Israel.
“Whoever tries to harm us, we will harm them as well as all their supporters,” he declared.
Netanyahu noted that Israel does not seek to escalate the conflict but is prepared for any scenario.
On January 28, two individuals were injured in gunfire in Jerusalem, sustaining serious injuries. According to reports, the shooter was a 13-year-old teenager. The Israeli police have indicated they suspect the incident in East Jerusalem may have been a terrorist act.
