Charges Filed Against Armenians Organizing Gathering at Armenian Church in Russia
Members of the local Armenian community staged a demonstration on January 23 in support of the residents of Artsakh. The event took place at the St. Karapet Church, which was founded in 2002 by the Armenian diaspora in the Urals. This demonstration has become the basis for initiating legal proceedings, according to Infoteka 24.
The president of the territorial public organization of the Armenian community, Masis Nazaryan, has been charged under part 2 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (organizing or conducting a public event without notification).
