US Unilateral Sanctions Hinder Development of Numerous Countries, Says China's Representative at UN
US unilateral sanctions disrupt the socio-economic development of several countries, stated Zhang Jun, China's permanent representative to the United Nations.
The diplomat urged for a decisive abandonment of unilateral sanctions to strengthen the rule of law on an international level. He noted that the illegality of such restrictions cannot be concealed.
“Certain countries are unjustifiably imposing unilateral sanctions outside the framework of international law, slowing down the socio-economic development of nations and creating enormous humanitarian problems, violating the principles of fair competition and market economy,” TASS quoted him as saying.
He added that several countries, especially the USA, are choking foreign technology companies and artificially disrupting supply chains.
