Artsakh Applicants Unable to Travel to Goris for Unified Examinations

Due to nearly a month of blockade in Artsakh, applicants from the region are unable to travel to Goris to take the unified examinations. This was announced during a press conference by Karo Nasibyan, the Deputy Director of the Assessment and Testing Center of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.

A total of 50 individuals have applied, with 20 of them intending to take the English language exam, while fewer have registered for other subjects.

It is not excluded that Artsakh applicants will be allowed to take the exams after the road is unblocked.

“We are in constant contact with Yuri Karamyans, the Director of the Artsakh Assessment and Testing Center. Before the enemy's blockade of Artsakh, we were aware that they initially did not want to hold the exams in January-February. The Artsakh ATC had approached their applicants, and those who wished to participate in the winter exams had to register and take the exams in Goris. Today, these applicants have no opportunity to travel to Goris and take the exams,” Nasibyan stated.

He emphasized that the resulting issue violates the rights of children to take their exams.
