Who said that the alternative road connecting Artsakh is guaranteed: Pashinyan
The scenario of building an alternative road connecting Artsakh has existed, but the reality on the ground is not that straightforward. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this during a meeting with journalists on January 10, addressing the question of whether the Armenian government has done everything in its power to ensure a road connecting Artsakh to Armenia.
“What do you mean by ‘everything’? Such a scenario has existed. We have worked in those directions, but the reality on the ground is not that simple. I mean, who said that the same alternative road is guaranteed? Who could say that the road could only be closed at that point and could not be closed just one kilometer away? We have provided direct financing of 170 billion AMD to Nagorno-Karabakh,” Pashinyan noted.
Responding to the question of whether there are any issues between the authorities of Armenia and Artsakh that may have differences, Pashinyan replied that, in his impression, there are no such issues: “We are in constant communication.”
