Photos: Azerbaijani 'environmentalists' have gone to Baku to warm up, with soldiers at the site - Le Figaro
The blocking of the Lachin corridor is the first act of war against the Armenian population of Artsakh. This was stated by Jean-Christophe Buisson, the deputy director of the prestigious French magazine Le Figaro, on his Twitter microblog.
“In conditions of temperatures down to -10°C, Azerbaijani pseudo-activist environmentalists have gone to Baku to warm up. They are replaced on-site by soldiers. The masks have fallen. The blockage of the Lachin corridor (for 28 days) is indeed the first act of war against the Armenians of Artsakh,” Buisson wrote, attaching also photographs to his post.
The Lachin corridor, which connects Artsakh to Armenia and the rest of the world, has been closed since December 12 by a group of Azerbaijanis posing as “environmental activists.” Azerbaijan has ignored calls from various countries and organizations to open the corridor.
Since December 12, 2022, Azerbaijan has kept the only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia and the outside world, the Lachin corridor, closed. Due to the closure of the road, 1,100 people, including 270 children, have been unable to return from Armenia to Artsakh. Violations of the right to free movement, minimum living standards, access to medical care, education, and other rights have occurred.
