OSCE Addresses the Blockage of the Lachin Corridor
The OSCE Chairman-in-Office, North Macedonia's Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani, during separate phone conversations with Armenia's Ararat Mirzoyan and Azerbaijan's Jeyhun Bayramov, has stated that he is closely monitoring the situation surrounding the Lachin Corridor.
According to the OSCE website, Osmani expressed concern over the impact this situation has on the daily lives of the civilian population. He urged all parties to de-escalate tensions and engage in constructive and effective dialogue.
The OSCE Chairman-in-Office noted that measures to strengthen trust and normalize relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan are key elements for overcoming current challenges affecting people, as stated in the press release.
In this context, Osmani has reiterated his readiness for personal engagement to help alleviate tensions and promote sustainable peace efforts. He also announced that he would make separate visits to Armenia and Azerbaijan in the future.
Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia reported that Minister Ararat Mirzoyan presented to Bujar Osmani the humanitarian crisis created as a result of the blockage of the Lachin Corridor by Azerbaijan.
