European Union inaction on the matter, says MEP about crimes committed by Baku
Azerbaijan’s actions, which have unjustifiably closed the Lachin corridor—the only means to deliver food and medicine from Armenia to Nagorno-Karabakh—endanger the lives of 120,000 Armenians living there. This was stated by Anna Cinzia Bonfrisco, a Member of the European Parliament.
“This is one of the many manifestations of Baku's malicious intentions, which does not intend to work for peace but stubbornly continues to commit crimes against the Armenian population. Unfortunately, the European Union has been rendered inactive in this regard,” wrote the MEP.
“Instead of the crisis of European structures caused by the Qatar-gate, it is necessary to protect Armenians who share common roots and culture with us,” she added.
