Mamikon Aslanyan Will Remain in Custody

The Anti-Corruption Court judge Sargis Dadoyan has rejected the motion to change the pre-trial measure for Vanadzor Mayor Mamikon Aslanyan. This information was shared with Sputnik Armenia by Aslanyan's lawyer Artak Voskanyan.

“Today was the next court hearing regarding the criminal case against Aslanyan, during which I presented a motion to change Aslanyan's pre-trial measure and apply bail. However, the judge denied our motion. We do not yet have the court's decision, and after reviewing it, we will appeal it in the Court of Appeals,” the lawyer stated.

He also noted that it is absurd for the court to not change Aslanyan's pre-trial measure, as there is no testimony against him in the statements of 30 witnesses in the case.
