Why Vitaly Balasanyan Participated in the Meeting of Peacekeepers and Azerbaijani 'Environmentalists': Clarification

The Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Artsakh participated as a coordinator for cooperation with the Russian peacekeeping forces deployed in Artsakh. This is mentioned in the statement by the Security Council of the Republic of Artsakh.

"On December 7, 2022, at the permanent deployment location of the Russian peacekeeping forces, the Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Artsakh participated as a coordinator for cooperation with the Russian peacekeeping forces deployed in Artsakh. We find it necessary to inform the public that the Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Artsakh participates in meetings held in a format mediated by Russian peacekeepers exclusively from the standpoint of protecting the interests of the Republic of Artsakh," the statement notes.

Referring to the aforementioned meeting, we inform that the representative of the Republic of Artsakh raised concerns about both the ecological issues created as a result of Azerbaijan's actions in Artsakh and other security challenges, supported by arguments and justifications.
