Firefighters Continue to Battle Blaze in Dilijan National Park
The firefighters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia, with the assistance of military personnel, have been trying to extinguish a fire that broke out in the Dilijan National Park for the second consecutive day. According to the ministry's press service, operational groups from the regional rescue department of the Rescue Service have returned to the scene at 5:40 AM today to resume firefighting efforts.
According to the statement, the firefighting efforts involve 36 rescue workers, 15 military personnel from Military Unit N, 10 employees from the Dilijan National Park State Non-Commercial Organization, and one water tanker has been engaged.
As reported, the firefighting operations were temporarily halted yesterday due to darkness and challenging terrain.
