Strasbourg City Council Adopts Resolution to Support Armenia
On November 7, the Strasbourg City Council unanimously adopted a resolution to provide support for Armenia, presented by council member Pierre Jakubowicz.
According to the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the resolution emphasizes that Armenia has once again faced aggression from Azerbaijan on its territory, resulting in a violation of its borders and international law.
The resolution notes that Armenia is a friendly and brotherly nation within the Council of Europe, and the repeated attacks pose an existential threat, which is unacceptable.
The Strasbourg City Council and all of its members reaffirm their support for the Armenian people and strongly condemn the military attack on Armenia, calling for a return to fair and lasting peace.
In a gesture of solidarity with Armenia and the Armenian people, the Armenian flag will be raised on the buildings of the Strasbourg City Hall and administrative center, in addition to material support.
