NATO welcomes the meeting of the state commission on the demarcation of the state border between the Republic of Armenia and Azerbaijan that took place yesterday in Brussels. Javier Cola, NATO's special representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia, commented on the meeting on his Twitter page.
"The good news is that our partners are discussing demarcation, which is necessary to improve security on the ground. NATO supports the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and welcomes the EU's efforts in this direction, including the holding of yesterday's negotiations and the launch of the EU observer mission," Cola wrote.
It is reminded that yesterday, the third meeting of the state commission on the demarcation of the state border and border security issues between Armenia and Azerbaijan was held in Brussels, chaired by Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev.
